Hi, My name is Mark Bettinson and I purchased a imagine 50 with a thunder tiger 61 glo engine. For my son as a xmas present i belong to bmfa and a local flying club which on sat 29th december 2007. I thought I would trim the plane and show my son what it was able to do I took it off and trimmed it started to do a circuit and was turning and decending when the plane had major elevator flutter and the hinges which you supplied with the kit ripped in half and the plane came down which you can see the damaged it caused to the rest of the plane....... please see photos of plane, reciever,engine,servo,on-off switch battery 4.8volts I hope that you can find a way to replacing the items as i feel it is a fault with the hinges ... which many of the members of my club said the crash was caused by the elevators please get back to me
Answer:
Dear Mr. Bettinson, Thanks for your email. We have forwarded the mail to our technical staffs. In fact, we have never heard of similar problem like this before. Generally speaking, the elevator may come off because the hinges are not glued well. The premise should be that the hinges are remained complete. However, in this case, it is to our surprize that all of the hinges ripped in half at the same time no matter on the elevator or rudder. It is almost impossible to have such a result unless a heavy crash or artificial force. Anyway, we will forward this issue to our UK distributor, Amerang, for help. They may ask you to send in the vetical tail and half horizontal tail to them for further investigation if necessary. Sorry for the procedure.
